Condition

The missing plates are: 335. Siwit - Awaitlala 352. Rounding into Port - Qagyuhl 359. Passing a Dreaded Point 360. An Inland Waterway The plates are in generally good to very good condition. A number of these plates have been conserved to lessen staining on the tissue, primarily in the margins. Lighter staining and occasional foxing is still visible in the margins, but generally does not affect the image. On Plate 351, discoloration does enter into the right side of the image in the sky area. A detailed treatment report is available upon request. There is rippling of the tissue on a number of plates. There is foxing and age-darkening on the mats. The portfolio case is in generally very good condition. It is rubbed along the spine and at the edges. There is foxing on the plate list overall.
