5 plates from New York Portfolios II, III, and IV, including Cheese Store, Rope Store, Lebanon Restaurant, Traveling Tin Shop, and Marine Shop, each mounted, signed and editioned '18/60' in pencil on the mount, the portfolio stamp on the reverse, 1930s, printed in 1979; accompanied by one original linen clamshell portfolio box (6) (Yochelson, Greenwich Village, pl. 9; Lower East Side, pl. 3; Lower West Side, pl. 3; and Outer Boroughs, pl. 31)
Condition
These prints are in generally excellent condition. The title and date is written in an unidentified hand in pencil on reverse of each mount.
Cheese Store, 256 Bleecker Street, 1937 - This photograph is from Portfolio III. Along the lower left edge, there is minor chipping.
Rope Store, Peerless Equipment Co., 1936 - This photograph is from Portfolio IV.
Lebanon Restaurant, 1936 -This photograph is from Portfolio IV.
Traveling Tin Shop, 1946 - This photograph is from Portfolio IV.
Marine Shop - This photograph is from Portfolio II.
The Portfolio case is in generally fair to good condition. It is soiled and rubbed at the extremities. On the cover, there is a 'Fragile handle with care' label.
