Colour: The colours in the catalogue are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly softer in the original work. The catalogue illustration fails to convey the glittery surfaces of the grey-silver band in the lower right composition, and ruby red backwards “K” shape in the upper left corner. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals 2 light rub marks in the upper left corner; 1 in the centre of the lower left quadrant; and a minute spot of discolouration to the pale blue area in the centre right of the composition. There is a faint splash mark in the lower right corner that would appear to be original to the work. When examined under ultraviolet light, one retouch of approximately 6cm long and 1,5cm width is apparent, located along the right edge approximately 20cm from the top edge.
