Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is slightly softer in the original work. Condition: There is a fine layer of dust superficially adhering to the surface. There are extended networks of hairline tension cracks and cracks in places throughout the paint surface, most of which are stable. In several places, these have resulted in some isolated spots of lifting and associated small losses to the uppermost paint layer, notably to the white painted upper central area of the composition. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
