Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original, with the paper tone tending more towards a soft cream. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There are artist's handling marks in places to the paper collage elements.

Catalogue Note

Alexis de la Falaise lived in New York from 1965 onwards and studied at Bard College. His stepfather was John McKendry, curator of Fine Prints at the Metropolitan Museum.
Alexis starred in Warhol's 1967 movie Tub Girls and was friends with a group of artists including Robert Rauschenberg and Larry Rivers.
