Condition
This paintings is in very good condition overall. There heavily textured surface is lightly soiled overall from airborne dirt and dust, appropriate to a work of this age. There are a few minute losses to the tips of the figure's heavy impasto scattered in the torso. Under ultraviolet light, there are two areas of restoration to losses in the heavy impasto of the figure, located 4 7/8-5 ½ in. from the left and 4 1/2 -6 ¼ inches from the bottom and 5 ¾-6 5/8 in. from the left and 3 ¾-5 1/8 in. from the bottom. There are tiny scattered pinpoint spots of possible retouch in the figure's left hand. The painting is framed in a painted black wood strip frame.
