Catalogue Note
First edition. The Congress orders a general reprisal against all ships, goods, and subjects of the King of Great Britain; such prizes are to be brought before American Courts of Admiralty; the destruction of or possession of duplicate papers is immediate grounds for condemnation of any vessel; and citizens are enjoined from any intercourse, correspondence or dealings with any subjects of Great Britain. Several later editions exist without imprints, among which is one by Franklin from his press at Passy.
