A group of three eighteenth-century Pennsylvania German language imprints on religious subjects; light to moderate text browning. Various formats in contemporary calf bindings; some wear to bindings.



Das kleine Davidische Psalterspiel. Germantown: Christoph Sauer, 1764. 12mo. Full calf with clasps. This edition not in Evans. — Kurze Fragen ueber die Christliche Glaubens-Lehre. Philadelphia: Carl Cist, 1784. 8vo. Minor dampstaining.  Provenance: Hanna Kriebel, (label dated 1837 on front pastedown). Hildeburn 4503. — Braght, Tieleman Jans van.  Der blutige Schau-Platz oder Märtyrer Spiegel der Tauffs Gesinten ode Wehrlosen-Christen. Ephrata: "Drucks und Verlatgs der Bruederschafft," 1748–1749. Engraved frontispiece, separate title-page for the second part; frontispiece soiled, faded, stained and mounted to a blank sheet. Clasps perished, one corner boss loose, rehinged. "The largest book printed  at the Brotherhood Press by the Ephrata Brethren. The work, originally published in Dutch, was translated in Pennsylvania by Peter Miller.
