Catalogue Note

Fine copy of the first edition, first impression (September 1909) of Montgomery's first sequel in her popular Anne series. This copy is in a well-preserved example of the scarce dust-jacket. Only six copies of Anne of Avonlea have appeared at auction in the last thirty-five years, only two in a dust-jacket.
