Panel is uncradled, flat and stable. it is bevelled on all four sides. this painting has been recently cleaned. the paint surface has been well retained for the most part and the brushwork is especially fresh in foreground and landscape at left. there are some areas where the wood grain is visible and this is most noticeable in the clouds. this could be addressed with careful small inpaintings which would improve the appearance in these areas. no retouching shows up under ultraviolet light
