Condition

Canvas is not lined but appears to have been placed on a new stretcher. The surface is slightly dirty and would likely benefit from a light cleaning. Surface remains richly textured in places. There is one faint surface scratch near the lower right corner; otherwise fine. Under UV light: a layer of varnish is somewhat difficult to read through. Although some original pigments fluoresce, no inpainting is apparent. Overall the work is in excellent condition.
