This painting on canvas is in original condition and has never been removed from its original stretcher. The paint layer may have never been cleaned and is in extremely fresh and lively condition. The painting is dirty. A few cracks running horizontally through the head and in a few other areas are slightly raised. There are a few tiny losses above the right foot, between the feet and in the lower left corner. There is also a small group of losses above the arm of the chair on the right side. This is a work that will certainly clean noticeably. The canvas could probably be relaxed and the cracking will be reduced slightly and adequately without lining the canvas. Overall the condition is lovely.
