Executed on buff-colored Japan paper. The sheet is double-sided and taped to a window mat at several places on the verso. There are visible creases throughout the sheet, particularly around the edges and across the figure's thighs. Fibers inherent to the sheet are visible and the sheet is slightly undulating overall. There are some minor repairs at the extreme upper corners and a few places along the extreme edges. Sheet appears time-darkened overall. Otherwise fine; the work is in good condition. The verso of the sheet is inscribed: "FS Drc / Bg 56", numbered in pencil by another hand, stamped "Nachlass E.L. Kirchner" (upper right on the verso).
