The work is in overall very good condition. Executed on sound board. There are areas of well-preserved impasto, particularly to the white pigment in the flowers and on the vase. Some very minor losses of pigment have occurred to the extreme outer edges of the composition due to frame abrasion, for example along the extreme center left edge and at the corners. Under UV light: certain lighter pigments fluoresce but no signs of restoration are apparent, though the varnish prevents a conclusive analysis.
