The canvas has not been lined. It is a little loose on its stretcher and gently buckled, particularly toward the upper corners, and the shape of the stretcher is visible through the canvas. There are two pinholes, one 6 inches from the top along the left edge and the other 10 inches from the top along the right edge. There are some insignificant signs of frame abrasion along the extreme outer edges, for example along the top right, center right and bottom edges. The paint layer is stable, though fine lines of scattered cracking are visible throughout the composition, particularly noticeable in the darkest pigment of the central figure's skirt. Under UV light: no signs of restoration are visible. Overall the painting is in good condition.
