Condition

Canvas is lined. There are a few thin stable cracks in the lower center and center left regions of the canvas. Under UV light: an L-shaped area of inpainting (approx. 4 in. long on each side) near the center of the left edge of the canvas corresponds to restoration to address a repaired tear. There are a few small spots of inpainting in the figure's chest and waist. Additionally, there area few scattered pindots of inpainting around the lower right corner, and there is a small dot retouch just above the bowl the sitter's pipe. Overall the work is in generally good condition.
