Condition

The canvas is unlined. A thin web of stabilized cracking is barely visible across the surface of the composition. The artist's pinholes are visible at all four corners of the canvas; in most corners the pinholes appear at a few points along the extreme edges and two pinholes are visible at the center of the top and bottom edges. The canvas is slightly dirty and a few stray flecks are marks are faintly visible on the pigment's surface. There is a tiny loss to the light blue pigment at the bottom of the upper right quadrant of the painting, towards the center. Under UV light: a few areas of uneven varnish fluoresce but no inpainting is apparent. Overall the work is in very good condition.
