This painting is unlined and well-stretched. The work would benefit overall from a light cleaning. Two lines of craquelure, approximately two-inches in length each, are present in the forehead of the woman. An area of craquelure is also present in the sky directly above the right shoulder of the woman. An area of rust-colored spots not inherent to the work, are present in the center of the woman's shirt and in the sky above the figure's left shoulder. White scratches are present in the left portion of the woman's skirt. Under ultraviolet inspection, in-painting is present throughout the sky, along the hairline and laugh lines of the woman, and intermittently spread within her coat. Moreover, accretions are present in the lower left and upper right quadrants. Overall, this work is in very good condition.
