Condition

This painting on wood has been mounted onto a stable piece of wood on the reverse. The paint layer has been cleaned, varnished and retouched. In the past instability developed to the original panel which resulted in the partial transfer of this work to a stable board. There are restorations which have been applied to this picture, almost all of them in the upper half in the green background running horizontally in a band approximately two and a half inches, and there are other losses in the upper center, upper left and upper right. The signature and date have not been restored although the surface of the paint layer around the date is quite uneven. The painting should be hung as is.
