Condition
This large and impressive painting is unlined. The paint layer seems to have been fairly recently cleaned and varnished; it is very stable and the canvas is well stretched. There is a thin layer of dust on the surface which could be easily removed. There are no visible issues and no restorations other than one in the sitter's right shoulder; any other restorations are few and far between. The painting is clearly in beautiful condition.
