- Onyx, enamel, seed pearl and diamond
The cylindrical case applied with Pekin mille raie white enamel, decorated with central motifs of bouquet, arrow and foliate design millegrain set with rose diamonds, the sides set with similarly set rosace motifs bordered by yellow gold garlands, opening to reveal a cigarette case and an onyx and diamond cigarette holder, the terminals set with onyx, opening to reveal a powder mirrored compartment and a match holder, to a chain set with onyx beads and seed pearls, measurements approximately 115x45x 28mm, signed Cartier Paris Londres New York, French assay and indistinct maker's marks.
Condition
French assay marks for gold. Signed Cartier Paris Londres New York. Cigarette holder signed Cartier and indistinctly numbered S 6962. Some loss to enamel and scratches. Areas of discolouration. Onyx in good condition. Diamonds of decorative quality. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches commensurate with age. In overall good condition.
