The penannular hinged bangle decorated with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 5.43 carats, bordered by circular-cut and cushion-shaped diamonds, circumference approximately 160mm, numbered, accompanied by a case signed Gber. Friedländer Königl. Hof-Juweliere – Berlin W for both the present bracelet and the brooch lot 288.
Condition
Metal tested as gold. Scratched numbers 575263. For further information on the sapphire please refer to the SSEF and Gübelin reports. Sapphire a blue hue with good saturation of colour. A few minor typical crystal inclusions, a few minor nicks to girdle and minor abrasion. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 3.30 carats, generally H-I colour, VS-SI clarity (a few I). Secure clasp with safety chain. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with age. Four prongs around the sapphire are broken, would benefit from professional attention before being worn. Well preserved and in good condition.
