Comprising a 14 karat gold box, monogrammed GHT, the interior lined with velvet, together with a key, gross weight approximately 447 dwts., signed Tiffany & Co.; a 14 karat gold cigarette box, gross weight approximately 94 dwts., signed Cartier, New York; a 14 karat gold traveling ashtray, gross weight 73 dwts., the interior fitted with clear glass; an 18 karat gold box, gross weight approximately 283 dwts., the interior signed 'With dearest love Margaret and Tony, Christmas 1939', signed Cartier, Paris, numbered 00099, maker's marks, French assay marks; an 18 karat gold match box case, gross weight approximately 66 dwts., signed Cartier, Paris, numbered 00122, maker's mark, French assay mark; and a silver gilt desk clock, the rectangular dial with Roman numerals, gross weight approximately 530 dwts., dial signed Cartier, caseback signed Cartier, Made in France, numbered 167, movment signed European Watch and Clock Co. Inc., France.
Condition
Clock: Approximate dimensions of 5¼ x 3¾ x 2¼ inches. Please refer to the Important Notices regarding the sale of clocks and watches on catalogue page 256. The desk clock inside signed European Watch and Clock Co. Inc., France, case numbered 167, movement numbered 10352, lever escapement, blue steeled breguet balance spring. Silver gilt is heavily oxidized and discolored. In good condition. Gold items: all shows minor surface scratches due to wear and some oxidation and discoloration. In good condition. Approximate dimensions: Large box (7½ x 4½ x 2½ inches), Medium Box (6¾ x 3½ x 1¾ inches), small cigarrette box (3¼ x 2¼ x 1½ inches), ashtray (2" dia x 1¼" high), and matchbox case (3¼ x 2¼ x 1¼ inches).
