The carved hardstone depicting three female faces surmounted by an owl, the gold crowns, collar and pendant loop set with old mine and rose-cut diamonds, supporting a pearl drop measuring approximately 11.4 by 10.1 mm., French maker's mark, French assay marks.
Condition
Eagle head marks, and ET mark for Etranger (import mark for below French gold standard) and partial maker's mark. Carved hardstone of even caramel brown color, with fine detail to the figures. Diamonds of approximately H to I color, VS to SI clarity, with nice brilliance for rough-cut old miners. Pearl of cream bodycolor with rosé and greenish overtones, heavily blemished skin with some loss to the nacre and pitting, dark stains only on the reverse, waxy luster. Gold with heavy oxidation in places. In good condition.
