The body and tail set with 10 cushion-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 7.00 carats, set throughout with smaller old mine diamonds, accented by round demantoid garnets, mounted on a en tremblant brooch fitting.

Good condition with gentle wear to the mounting. The large cushion-shaped diamonds are approximately H-K color, SI clarity. The smaller diamonds are approximately H-J color, VS-SI clarity. The demantoid garnets are a lively medium to medium-deep yellowish green; some with eye-visible inclusions and abrasions. The dragonfly displays a significant 'en tremblant' movement. Please note this brooch was not made circa 1900, but is of more recent manufacture.
