Condition
The work is on a light grey tinted sheet which has been laid down unto the backboard, presumably when new.
It is in generally sound condition, although there is some scuffing and minor tears to all the sheet edges, pinholes to all four corners and some slight water staining which is however consistent with the artist's free working methods. In the central right hand section there is some cracking to an area of thickly painted gouache, otherwise there appears to be no obvious flaking or loss.
Held under glass in a red and gilt tinted frame with a rust coloured mount.
Please telephone the department on 0207 293 6424 if you have any questions about the present work.
