Catalogue Note

This form was much used by Coper in the early 1950s and was a base for a variety of different surface designs, see for example, Tony Birks, Hans Coper, William Collins & Co. Ltd., London 1983, p.91. The present work was almost certainly included amoungst a group of Coper's work in the 1952 Dartington International Conference of Craftsmen in P꧒ottery and Textiles.
