Condition

Original canvas. There is some paint separation to the pink pigment on the table and there are a few scattered lines of craquelure to isolated areas, including a few lines just above the vase and to a few places in the upper third of the work. There is an additional spot of craquelure with an extremely minor tiny fleck of paint loss in the upper left corner, where the canvas is pulled over the stretcher. There is some frame paint transfer along the upper half of the right edge. There is some old dirt which has gathered to some of the thick areas of the impasto, mainly in the centre of the compostion, and may benefit from a light clean. Ultraviolet light reveals a few isolated flecks of retouching, including along the left and upper edges, to the grey pigment lower left and to the pink pigment lower right. Held in a stained wood frame under glass; unexamined out of frame.
