Condition
Original canvas.
The upper right corner undulates very slightly and there is a minor frame abrastion. There are a few hairline cracks about the artist's head and a small area of craquelure to the right of the artist's shoulder and one or two further minor cracks in places across the canvas.
Under ultraviolet light there is a small area of retouching near the centre of the right hand edge, which appears to relate to a previous a area of paint loss.
Held in a gilt plaster frame.
