The painting is less red than the catalogue illustration suggests. The single flat panel is bevelled along all four edges. With the naked eye the painting appears to be in good and clean original condition, with the impasto well preserved. MInor scuffs can be made out upper centre and to the right of the central Nativity scene. Inspection under UV light confirms the good original condition, with the flowers very well preserved and only minor retouchings in the background. Offered in a later black wooden frame in good condition.
