Condition
The tone of the original has a touch more red in it than appears in the catalogue illustration.
The canvas has a firm relining which has somewhat flattened the paint surface, which is otherwise secure and largely well preserved under a somewhat yellowed varnish. There is a approx. 2 cm. squared test clean patch upper right as visible in the catalogue illustration. Thorough inspection under UV light is impeded by the varnish but scattered old retouchings do fluoresce.
Offered in a plain gilt wood in fair condition.
