Condition
This early print is on heavy paper that has been trimmed to the image slightly unevenly. It is in generally good to very good condition. The print is unevenly ferrotyped, and there is a waviness in the lower right portion of the print. As is typical of ferrotyped prints, in raking light, faint scuffing, some pitting, and a few hairline scratches are visible overall. A few small handling creases that do not appear to break the emulsion are also visible. Upon close examination, there are several long scratches in the negative that have not been retouched on the print.
The print is lightly worn at the periphery, primarily along the lower and right print edges. The upper right corner is creased, and there is a tiny loss of emulsion at the tip of the lower right corner.
The reverse of the print is soiled from handling. It is hinged along the upper edge on the reverse to a modern mat.
