Description
- Enamel and bronze
each of rounded form, with applied mask-ring handles, the sides divided into eight rectangular panels enclosing a Daoist emblem, the cover divided into eight triangular panels enclosing the eight Buddhist emblems (bajixiang), the interior and finial in dark blue enamel
Condition
Both potiche and covers are in good overall condition with the exception of, a 3cm., wide dent to the rim of one cover with an associated 2x0.5cm., area of enamel loss, minor loss to the enamel around the rim of both bowls, characteristic pitting and enamel shrinkage to both bowls and covers and light rubbing to the gilded areas.
