Unexamined out of frame and under glass, there is some time staining and some scattered foxing to the sheets. Held in a simple wood frame (i) and held in a double sided gilt bronze frame (ii)

In the border of i) are views of residences of the Duchesse de Berry: Compiègne, Fontainebleau, the Elysée Palace, Naples, Bagatelle, and statues representing Faith, Hope, and Charity, and profiles of Clovis, Saint Louis, Don Carlos, and King Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies.
Another known work by Hilaire Thierry, circa 1825, depicts a reception given by the Duchesse at Rosny on 13 July, Saint Henry's day, in hon🏅our of her young son (held at the Musée de l'Ile de France, Sceaux).
