- box: 21cm.; 8¼in. tray: 4cm. high, 31.5cm. wide, 25cm. deep; 1½in., 1ft. ½in., 9¾in.
comprising sixteen squares of various marbles within a red velvet leather-lined box, the box inscribed LAVES DU VESUVE, the interior of the lid with a carved lava stone panel depicting Angelica and Medo...., together with a collection of Italian specimen marbles inset within a silvered metal tray, with eighteen silver-metal backed Italian marbles, circa 1900 (2)
Condition
In good condition. The cased example with some chipped specimens. The tray with loose specimens and the silvered metal stand tarnished.
