Catalogue Note
The Lavys were a family of engravers and medallists active in Turin at the end of the 18th Centry. The sons Carlo, Giovanni, Filippo and Amedeo were each employed at the Roꦐyal Mint, where their father Lorenzo Lavy (1720-1789) had worked since 1750.
