the German ivory barrel carved in relief with a bacchanalia, the handle in the shape of a bacchante, silver foot and hinged cover embossed with scrolling acanthus, bud finial, gilt interior, French Minerva and Dutch import mark (1814-1893) only

Condition

hallmarked with French Minerva and Dutch import mark (1814-1893) on foot rim. Foot rim slightly bashed but could easily be pushed back, finial bent , silver with some traces of gilding, ivory with minor cracks commensurate with age, otherwise in good condition.
