Catalogue Note

After fl🍌eeing Paris in 1848 William Morel established himself briefly in London, becoming noted for the🦂 fine quality of his work. He exhibited at the Great Exhibition in 1851. 'WN' may be William Newberry, based in Greek Street, whose mark was registered in 1835.
