showing on the left and on the right side the Kievan Miracleworkers, the halos meticulously inscribed with the according names, in the upper part two angels holding the icon of the Dormition of the Mother of God, in the centre the famous church of the Dormition, below St Vladimir, the converter of the Kievan Rus to Christianity and his two sons Boris and Gleb, Russia's first martyrs, in the foreground the two founders of the Kievo-Pecherksi Monastery, the monks Anthony and Feodosy

A restored vertical split running down the centre of the panel, some minor retouching, the border repainted with green paint, traces of a golden border underneath
