the silver oklad decorated with repoussé and chased leaves, the saint holding the book of Gospels with five oval shaped enamel roundels centred with the Resurrection of Christ and surrounded by the four Evangelists, his maphorion and crown embellished with pastes, Christ the Saviour in the upper left and the Mother of God on the right, held in a wooden kiot, struck with maker's mark A.? (Cyrillic), 84 standard

Some clearly visible damage to the painting surface, covered darkened varnish
