Condition
The following condition report has been prepared by Julius Lowy Art Conservation: The artwork is a watercolor painting executed on paper which has been mounted to an acidic mat board with an unknown adhesive. The paper support is discolored due to an acidic spandrel mat which was adhered directly onto the surface of the painting at all four corners with animal glue. The watercolor media layers are in good and stable condition. Ultraviolet examination reveals a normal fluorescence of artist materials with no presence of prior restoration visible. Upon visual inspection, the artwork appears to have a layer of embedded dirt as well as glue residue at all four corners. The artwork is initialed and cyphered at the lower left: CMR, 1909. The artwork is overall in good condition but in need of some conservation treatment.
