Attractive light brown patina. There is a light build-up of surface dirt, mostly in the crevices. This work is in excellent condition.

signed 'A. Rodin' and numbered '6/12' (on the rock, back right) ; with the foundry mark 'Alexis Rudier, Fondeur Paris' (on the reverse of the rock, to the right) ; stamped 'A. Rodin' on the interior, bronze. Conceived in 1885, this bronze version cast in 1944.
