Catalogue Note
In his departure from his music-inspired works, Christian Marclay created a series of prints for his 2007 solo show at White Cube in London that concentrates on onomatopoeic comic book words. He plays with these words that have no meaning unless they are spoken. It is only then one can imagine the sound and the action taking place even though his collage work edits out the image.
