- Three concept paintings thought to be for the film version of Live and Let Die

i) Graveyard scene, 505 by 635mm., unsigned; ii) Detail of Gargoyle, 195 by 480mm., unsigned; iii) "Interior Manas Chapel", 371 by 571mm., signed and dated "Ivor Beddoes '71" lower right; all watercolour and gouache drawings, two laid down to boards, minor fraying at extremities, some spotting

Catalogue Note
Ivor Beddoes (1910-1981) was an artist who specialised as a storyboard illustrator in the film industry and was employed at the time of Live and Let Die by Eon Productions. These three pictures comprise Beddoes' concept paintings executed during the pre-production stage of the film. Beddoes had a distinguished career in films working on Star Wars, Superman and James Bond franchises.
