Catalogue Note
The rare signed variant of the first edition of one of of the author's most popular novels. "In a letter to Edward McDonald dated September 1924, Thomas Seltzer wrote that Lawrence had autographed '16 or 18 copies' of this edition" (Warren Roberts and Paul Poplawski, A Bibliography of D.H. Lawrence, third edition, 2001, p. 53).
