in a paper wrapper inscribed "Hair preserved from the late Lord Nelson of glorious memory after his lamented fall on the 21st October 1805"
[with:] William Parker, autograph letter signed to his father George, describing a conversation with Thomas Masterman Hardy on HMS Victory in the immediate aftermath of the Battle of Trafalgar, retelling his account of the battle and Nelson's last moments ("...he took an affectionate last embrace of his friend Hardy...")  and informing him that "Hardy has promised me a small lock of his [i.e. Nelson's] hair which I shall value exceedingly", 4 pages, 4to, HMS Amazon, St Helens, 8 December 1805
