Catalogue Note

Begun as a series of letters to Locke's friend Edward Clarke, Some thoughts concerning education was hugely influential in its time, being published in at least 53 editions in the eighteenth century alone. Rousseau acknowledged Locke's influence and the book is now considered to be one of the earliest expressions of the principles of modern developmental psychology.
