A maquette of a life-size sculpture intended as a piece of public art. Lawrence Holofcener (b.1926) is the sculptor responsible for "Allies", the popular sculpture found on New Bond Street, a cast of which was recently sold in these rooms (Modern and Post-War British Art, 15-16 November 2011, lot 201, £253,250).
