8vo, two volumes, first edition (Teerink's "A" edition), engraved frontispiece in second state with inscription around the oval, five engraved maps and one plate, contemporary calf with double fillet gilt border, spine in compartments with lettering pieces in red and green morocco, collector's cloth slipcase, slight spotting and browning, skilfully rebacked preserving original spines, minor abrasions to covers, new lettering pieces, old description laid down to front fixed endpaper
