Of floral design set with three large old mine-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.50, 1.00 and 1.25 carats, accented by 10 pearls ranging in size from approximately 5.6 to 8.4 mm, further set with numerous old European, old mine and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 17.75 carats, mounted in later plated silver-topped gold, the three flowers are detachable, one pearl missing.

Condition

In good general condition with minor evidence of lead solder showing through the rhodium plating. The pearls range from slightly grayish to slightly creamy white and exhibit faint pink and green overtones. Low to medium luster with varying degrees of surface irregularities and wrinkling; one with surface irregularities, and minor peeling. The three largest diamonds are approximately H-K color; the largest diamond is approximately VS clarity, the two are approximately SI-I clarity. The balance of the diamonds are of similar quality, some with significant chipping along the girdle. Three of the flower clusters may be unscrewed from the brooch. A small, indistinct maker's mark or possibly a manufacturing irregularity may be found on the "stem" of the farthest pearl to the right. Fitted with hooks to allow for wear on a chain. Please note the mounting is composed of later-plated, silver-topped gold.
